1. Who we are

VertexOrbis Technologies ("VertexOrbis", "we", "us") is an independent, founder-led technology studio based in Taiwan. This policy explains how personal data is handled in connection with the website at vertexorbis.com and any business inquiry you send to us.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, VertexOrbis is the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. What we collect

We only receive personal data that you choose to send us:

• Business inquiry data — your name, email address, company name (if you provide it), the topic you select, and the content of your message.

The inquiry form on this website does not transmit data to our servers. It composes an email in your own mail client, and the data reaches us only if and when you actually send that email.

3. What we do not collect

• We do not set analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
• We do not build profiles, run behavioural advertising, or sell data to anyone.
• We do not ask for, or knowingly process, special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric or political data).

4. Cookies

This website does not set any cookies and does not use client-side storage to identify visitors. Because no non-essential cookies are used, no cookie consent banner is required. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested before any non-essential cookie is set.

5. Hosting and technical data

This site is served through Cloudflare's content delivery network. As a hosting and security provider, Cloudflare may process technical request data — such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp — for the purposes of delivering content, mitigating abuse and maintaining service integrity. This processing is carried out under Cloudflare's own terms and privacy policy, and is outside our direct control.

6. Why we process your data, and on what basis

• To respond to your inquiry and take steps towards a contract — legal basis: performance of, or steps prior to, a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To manage and keep records of business correspondence — legal basis: our legitimate interest in running our business (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

7. Retention

Inquiry correspondence is retained only as long as needed for the purpose above — normally up to 24 months from the last exchange — unless a longer period is required by law or by an ongoing contractual relationship.

8. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data may be shared only with service providers strictly necessary to operate our business (for example email hosting), and only to the extent required, or where we are legally obliged to disclose it.

9. International transfers

We are based in Taiwan. If you contact us from the EEA, the UK or another jurisdiction, your data will be transferred to and processed in Taiwan. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or your explicit consent to the transfer.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• request access to the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request deletion of your data;
• object to, or request restriction of, processing;
• request portability of data you provided to us;
• withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
• lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California residents may additionally request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and request deletion, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.

11. Security

This website is served exclusively over HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

Our services are aimed at businesses and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
